An MA in chemical science, she graduated from Moscow State University to start a career of …a translator. At first she helped her future husband, who worked in a chemical lab, to translate his reports into English and English chemical articles into Russian. In short term she became a supplier to top Russian LSPs. Chemistry is a very specific domain and as a subject matter expert Maria could have stayed in that niche, but she also has wonderful learning abilities and an inquisitive mind. In 2007, she came out of the freelance darkness to become an in-house editor in a big translation company, where she also learned to translate other domains, like IT. I happened to be in the same unit, and since then we have been traveling together from one employer to another as a team. Maria is a translator, editor, and a project manager. She is knowledgeable, committed and reliable.
